A king who rules the whole earth yet gives every hour to the service of Vishnu keeps a year-long vow. At its close the fiery sage Durvasa arrives as a guest, and the king finds himself caught between two duties. When the sage's anger takes shape as a blazing discus, it is Vishnu's discus that chases the sage across the worlds.
