Tulasidas and His Wife

A young Brahmin of Hastinapur cannot bear to be parted from his wife for a single night. When she goes to her mother's house, he follows her through the dark, in flood and without a thought, and climbs a wall by a rope he never looks at. What she says to him that night sends him to Benares for twelve years of austerity.
